Met Division Showdown: Flyers Meet Penguins
The Philadelphia Flyers head to the Steel City this weekend to meet the Pittsburgh Penguins in what is being seen by the bookies over at Bovada as something of a mismatch. The Flyers will have it all to do in Pittsburgh and have been in woeful form since Christmas, winning just the eight games, however thanks to the playoff format the way it is, they're still in with an outside shot at a wildcard place in the Eastern Conference.
The Flyers are no doubt one of the poorest teams in the NHL right now, tied in last place with a lowly .895 save percentage and scoring just the 2.53 goals per game, placing them down at position 21, and they're really going to have to turn those stats upside down if they're to get anything against the Penguins.
It's a completely different story for the Penguins who are in fine form heading into this one, leading the NHL on goals per game (3.48) and sitting just outside the top ten save percentage at .913 however they do allow a huge 32.2 shots per game and that could give the Flyers at least some hope. Also helping the Flyers will be the fact that Justin Schultz will be out due to concussion he sustained mid-week.
You can get all the odds on the game and enjoy live NHL betting throughout, over at Bovada Sports, and you'll see that the Penguins are big favs for this one.
